## extract

Special Weather Statement — City and Borough of Yakutat; Municipality of Skagway; Haines Borough and Klukwan; Glacier Bay; Eastern Chichagof Island; Cape Fairweather to Lisianski Strait; City and Borough of Sitka; Admiralty Island; City and Borough of Juneau
Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Observed.
Thursday into the weekend, a series of low pressure systems will
move toward Southeast Alaska, bringing widespread moderate to heavy
rainfall. Strong winds are also expected for coastal panhandle
communities. While the exact timing and impacts of the system are
still being refined, confidence is continuing to increase that this
will be a more impactful system for Southeast Alaska.

For the northern and central Panhandle, while rivers are expected to
rise no flooding is anticipated at this time.

Stay tuned to weather.gov/juneau as we continue to monitor the
developing situation and update our forecast.
