“The UK has one of the deepest concentrations of design and product talent anywhere, from the banks and retailers building new digital products to the design studios shaping the future of online interaction," says Daniel Barrett, Figma’s SVP of International. “We’re proud to expand our office in the heart of this incredible creative ecosystem.”
Figma’s London office gives new life to restored Georgian and Victorian warehouses at Elder Yard on Norton Folgate, a part of the city that has been home to makers for hundreds of years.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, says: “I’m delighted that Figma is expanding its presence in London. AI is moving into its multiplayer era
The UK has always been a vibrant centre for innovation where businesses care deeply about design, collaboration, and increasingly, new ways of building with AI. Figma recently launched its annual global AI report AI used to be a solo act. According to our research, it’s not anymore.

- 41% of product builders say AI now meaningfully changes how their teams work together, up from just 7% two years ago.
- 90% of respondents say design is at least as important as it was before AI, with 57% saying it matters more.
- The number of developers doing design work rose from 44% to 60% in a single year, and the number of designers participating in development doubled to 41%.
In the UK specifically, across 421 local respondents, the research found that:
- 52% now say design has become more important, up from 44% last year.
- 34% say AI’s impact on collaboration has been significant or transformational, up from 14% last year.
- 92% feel AI is essential to their future success as a designer or developer, and 63% feel it improves the quality of their work.
