Robust demand across automotive, consumer, and healthcare sectors powered a near-doubling of quarterly profit, alongside a sharp rise in export volumes. Management successfully streamlined working capital and generated positive operating cash flow despite component constraints. Find out how the upcoming printed circuit board project will shape long-term margins.
Syrma SGS Technology reported an 83% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to ₹117 crore for the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹64 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations rose 73.6% YoY to ₹1,990 crore in Q2 FY27, from ₹1,146 crore a year ago.
EBITDA increased 67.8% to ₹193 crore, compared with ₹115 crore in the year-ago period. However, the EBITDA margin contracted to 9.7% from 10.1% a year earlier.
Automotive, consumer segments drive growth
Segment-wise, the automotive business reported revenue of ₹516.9 crore, up 91% year-on-year from ₹271 crore. The consumer segment recorded revenue of ₹572.7 crore, registering a 57% increase from ₹365.6 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Revenue from the healthcare segment rose 61% to ₹134 crore, compared with ₹83.4 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Commenting on the results, Jasbir Singh Gujral, Managing Director of Syrma SGS Technology, said the first half of FY27 reflected continued execution strength, with total revenue rising 71% and profit after tax (PAT) nearly doubling.
He said the company achieved a new milestone during the quarter, with revenue reaching ₹2,000 crore, marking a 73% year-on-year increase. Growth was driven by the automotive and industrial segments, along with an 80% rise in exports.
Gujral added that the company met customer commitments despite industry-wide component constraints. It also brought working capital down to 63 days and reported strongly positive operating cash flow for the first half of the financial year.
Looking ahead, the company plans to build on its growth momentum by expanding its global presence, scaling niche and technology-intensive segments, and advancing its printed circuit board (PCB) project as a new growth pillar, exchange filing stated.
Shares of Syrma SGS Technology ended 2.6% lower at ₹1,625 on the NSE. The stock has declined 8.8% over the past month but remains up 125% so far this year.
