Skincare and dermatology startup CureSkin improved its financial performance in FY26, with higher revenue from product sales and services and lower advertising and promotional costs helping reduce its losses.
The firm’s revenue from operations grew 27.9% to Rs 133 crore in FY26, according to its financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies.
The Bengaluru-based company offers personalised skincare and haircare solutions through digital consultations and products recommended for individual skin and hair concerns. Its business combines product sales with services, including dermatology-led consultations.
Product sales remained its primary revenue source, accounting for about 91% of operating revenue. Revenue from products increased 17.1% to Rs 120.6 crore in FY26 from Rs 103 crore in FY25. Revenue from services, meanwhile, rose nearly ninefold to Rs 12.4 crore, albeit on a smaller base. The increase points to a larger contribution from services, although product sales continued to account for most of the business.
The firm also reported Rs 1 crore in other income, taking total revenue to Rs 134 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 108 crore a year earlier.
CureSkin’s advertising and promotional spend fell by 17.6% to Rs 61 crore in FY26 from Rs 74 crore a year earlier, reducing one of its major cost heads. The decline helped bring down overall expenditure despite higher spending on materials and other operating costs.
The cost of materials consumed increased 15.4% to Rs 42 crore, broadly tracking the rise in product sales. Employee benefit expenses, however, declined 5.3% to Rs 23.6 crore from Rs 24.9 crore, adding to the savings from lower promotional spending.
Among the remaining cost heads, transportation expenses increased 30% to Rs 13 crore, while legal and professional charges fell 36.5% to Rs 7.2 crore. Miscellaneous expenses rose 14.8% to Rs 22.2 crore from Rs 19 crore.
CureSkin’s net loss narrowed 48.5% to Rs 35 crore in FY26 from Rs 68 crore in FY25, supported by higher revenue and lower overall expenditure.
Its EBITDA margin improved to -21.81% from -60.94% in the previous fiscal year. On a unit basis, CureSkin spent Rs 1.27 to earn every rupee of operating revenue, compared with Rs 1.69 in FY25, indicating lower costs relative to revenue, though the company remained loss-making.
As of March 2026, CureSkin had cash and bank balances of Rs 8 crore and current assets of Rs 40 crore, down from Rs 72 crore a year earlier. The firm has raised $26 million to date, including a $20 million led by HealthQuad. Its other investors include JSW, Khosla Ventures and Sharrp Ventures.
CureSkin’s next phase will depend on its ability to sustain demand for its products while expanding its services business. The sharp decline in losses suggests that tighter cost management has improved its financial performance, but the company will need to maintain this discipline as it scales. Growing its services revenue could also help diversify its income beyond product sales. With marketing remaining a significant expense, balancing customer acquisition with repeat purchases and revenue growth will be important for building a more sustainable business model.
