## extract

Special Weather Statement — Kivalina and Red Dog Dock; Baldwin Peninsula; Northern Seward Peninsula; Shishmaref; Bering Strait Coast
Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Observed.
A Bering Sea low will move into the Gulf of Anadyr Sunday then
into the Chukchi Sea on Monday. South-southwest winds will
increase water levels to around 1 to 3 feet above the normal high
tide line during the Monday and Tuesday high tides in the Seward
Peninsula. Water levels around 2 to 4 feet above the normal high
tide line are possible from Kotzebue to Kivalina. There is still
quite a bit of uncertainty with the exact water level heights and
they will be monitored over the next few days.
