Reliance Industries Q2 Results LIVE Updates: Piyush Pandey, Research Analyst at Centrum Broking, on Jio Platforms Q2 results
“I would say Jio Platforms’ earnings are a broadly steady set of numbers. Revenue growth was primarily driven by higher customer additions and an increase in ARPU on a sequential basis. Overall, these look like in-line numbers.
So, we are building in revenue growth of close to 12%, EBITDA growth of around 13% and PAT growth of around 14-15% for the current financial year. In terms of EPS, I would say it will closely follow the PAT number. So, broadly, I would say we can expect 15% EPS growth for the full year, but it depends on the timing of the next tariff increase.”
Reliance Industries Q2 Results LIVE Updates: Deven Choksey, Managing Director of Drchoksey Finserv, on results
“I think indeed the Reliance Industries numbers are pretty handsome numbers. Frankly, I think I do recollect one of the interactions on the channel wherein I categorically stated that this quarter is possibly the best quarter that one has ever seen as far as the CRACKS margins are concerned, and particularly the diesel margins are concerned, because diesel exports to the European countries by Reliance have, actually, I think, worked in their favour significantly, as it looks like.
Of course, I need to see a lot of details before I make a qualified statement. But from the numbers that we had calculated and anticipated, I think this is clearly established. Another part, I think the company has been extremely agile in passing on the cost to their customers. When we were talking to the user industries in the petrochemicals, I think we were told that I think Reliance has been extremely quick in raising the prices based on the crude oil prices.
So, they have taken the advantage of lower inventory of crude, which they bought in, which came in transit, and I think took the advantage and created the higher delta for themselves. This is also getting reflected in the petrochemical or polyester chain margins that you are talking about. So, of course, we all want to see further details about whatever I have observed. But it appears to me that I think this is where we have made the difference, both in the refining segment as well as the petrochemical segments.
They are trying to optimise the cost in whichever format they are operating by way of rationalising the cost structures. In past, they continued with some amount of legacy effect, but in this quarter they have discarded some of the stores and formats, and that clearly gets reflected in the profit performance.
One important point I think I observed in the retail business is that somewhere around 3,500 own brands, in which I think they are operating the business, are giving them a significantly big handle in the form of getting the detailed margins. I think they can get it from the consumer company. So from that perspective, I find that the business, I think, remains absolutely strong and convincing going forward.
I think the success of JioMart is largely due to the quick commerce piece that they have added. I think we would like to see, in a different format, particularly in electronics, somewhere in this quarter, that is, the third quarter of the financial year, how exactly the numbers improve. In the second quarter, the numbers are in line with whatever I think we have been expecting, but the third quarter should be relatively better in my viewpoint. As far as I think the electronics format is concerned, the margins are apparently a little better compared to others.”

Entertainment watch-time on JioHotstar grew more than 15% year-on-year during the quarter, driven by strong performance across Hindi and regional markets. Shows such as ‘India Ke Top 1%’, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, ‘Hustle Season 5’ and ‘Bhojpuri Bawaal’ contributed to JioStar’s position as India’s leading entertainment network.

During the quarter, JioHotstar introduced ‘Pay Kisi Aur Se’ or ‘Ask Others to Pay’, an industry-first subscription payment solution that allows users to request friends or family members to complete purchases on their behalf. The solution, which aims to address payment and demographic gaps, drove a 10% increase in incremental payment initiations.

Reliance Industries Q2 Results LIVE Updates: Oil and Gas Q2 EBITDA falls 2%
Reliance Industries’ oil and gas (exploration and production) segment reported a 0.6% year-on-year decline in revenue in the second quarter of FY27, mainly due to lower production and gas price realisation from KG-D6. The decline was partly offset by higher condensate prices and improved coal bed methane (CBM) gas prices and volumes.
The average price realised for KG-D6 gas stood at $8.88 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) in Q2 FY27, compared with $9.97 per MMBtu in the year-ago quarter. The average price realised for CBM gas increased to $13.24 per MMBtu from $9.53 per MMBtu.
EBITDA declined 2% YoY to ₹4,901 crore due to lower revenue and higher Government of India (GoI) levies. Favourable exchange-rate movements partly supported earnings.

The Middle East conflict disrupted energy market supply chains, pushing crude oil prices up 40.6% and transportation fuel prices by 50-78% YoY. Revenue growth was also supported by a 25-35% increase in prices of most downstream chemical products.
Segment EBITDA surged 67.9% YoY to ₹25,203 crore ($2.6 billion), driven by unprecedented strength in transportation fuel cracks and improved downstream chemical margins. Fuel cracks increased 3-3.7 times year-on-year, reaching historic highs during the quarter. Polyester chain margins also recovered sharply to a three-year high, led by improvements in paraxylene (PX) and purified terephthalic acid (PTA) deltas.

Reliance Industries Q2 Results LIVE Updates: Mukesh D Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, on results
“This week marked a historic moment in Reliance’s value creation journey with Jio’s record-setting listing on Indian bourses. With over 22x subscription and strong listing appreciation, the issue has set multiple global benchmarks. JPL is now India’s second-largest company.
It demonstrates the depth of confidence investors place in Jio’s solid foundation and strong growth visibility. I am proud to witness the rejuvenation of “the equity cult” originally pioneered by our founder-chairman during the 1977Reliance IPO.
During 2Q FY27, our businesses delivered a strong performance despite a complex operating environment. Commodity markets remained volatile while geopolitical tensions continued to weigh on global supply chains. Against this backdrop, the domestic orientation of our portfolio, combined with operational discipline and versatility of our integrated businesses, helped Reliance navigate external volatility effectively.
Our O2C business delivered a particularly strong performance this quarter, led by tight fuel markets, improved downstream petrochemical deltas and firm domestic demand. Our ability to optimise feedstock sourcing and product placement along with operations across the value chain enabled us to improve
margin capture. This performance underscores the strength and resilience of our O2C business.
The Digital Services business continued its robust growth this quarter. Jio’s performance across mobility, home broadband and enterprise was strong, with healthy growth in earnings. Jio has built a proprietary technology stack and a growing portfolio of digital services, platforms and enterprise offerings that extend well beyond connectivity. The Jio IPO is a defining milestone. The faith placed in us by millions of our investors reinforces our commitment to building indigenous, world-class deep-tech solutions to deliver sustained value to customers and shareholders
Reliance Retail had a steady quarter, with growth sustained across all formats and channels. Consumer demand stayed healthy, supported by our extensive physical and digital presence and our continued focus on serving the diverse needs of Indian consumers. Our consumer products business kept its growth
momentum, with the FMCG brand portfolio gaining further ground among Indian consumers. Our disciplined capital allocation has helped create businesses that provide sustainable cash-flows and will remain significant contributors to India’s energy independence and technology evolution.”

O2C earnings were constrained by higher crude oil premiums, elevated freight rates, costs related to the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and under-recoveries in domestic fuel retail.

Reliance Industries Q2 Results LIVE Updates: KGD6 produces 24 MMSCMD of gas
Reliance Industries reported average KGD6 production of 24.0 million standard cubic metres per day (MMSCMD) of gas and around 15,903 barrels per day of oil and condensate during the second quarter of FY27.
In the coal bed methane (CBM) business, the second phase of the multi-lateral well (MLW) campaign is underway to augment production. Drilling has been completed at 37 of the 40 wells planned under the campaign, of which 35 have been connected to the production system.
