Global payments giant Mastercard has exited fintech company Pine Labs by offloading its entire 4.31% stake through a bulk deal worth Rs 933.5 crore on Tuesday.
According to bulk deal data available on the BSE, Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd. sold 4.97 crore equity shares at Rs 187.75 per share, fetching approximately Rs 933.57 crore.
The shares were acquired by a group of domestic and global institutional investors. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company emerged as the largest buyer, acquiring 93.1 lakh shares worth Rs 174.8 crore. Financially, Pine Labs reported a 20% year-on-year growth in operating scale to Rs 737 crore in Q1 FY26, while its profit jumped fourfold to Rs 20 crore during the quarter.
As at 11:08 AM (today), Pine Labs’ shares were trading at Rs 194.35 on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), with a total market capitalization of Rs 22,425 crore ($2.36 billion).
