Trump election advisers donate Bosnia consulting fee to presidential library
President Trump’s political advisers James Blair and Chris LaCivita confirmed Friday they donated their full fee from their consulting work for a pro-Russian political party in Bosnia-Herzegovina to Trump’s presidential library.
“Yes, it’s true we donated our full fee. I love the President and am eternally grateful for the opportunities he has provided me,” Blair said in a post on the social platform X, referring to the New York Post story that was first to report on the donation.
“Contributing to the preservation of his legacy of greatness is my honor!” Blair said.
LaCivita reposted Blair, writing “preserving the legacy and story of @realDonaldTrump is an honor and a no brainer!”
The Trump Presidential Library and Museum is expected to be housed in Miami, Fla.
The donations come after Trump warned earlier this month he would terminate Blair and LaCivita if their work in the Balkans conflicted with the White House.
“Chris LaCivita and James Blair are outside consultants. They do not work for me, other than as outside consultants,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “They most likely have numerous clients, but for that, you would have to ask them.”
“They are allowed to do work for others, just like all consultants in Washington, D.C.,” he continued. “I do not have any idea who else they work for but will, on reflection, ask them and, if there’s a conflict, I will terminate them, immediately!”
