Cloud kitchen company Rebel Foods improved its financial performance in FY26 as revenue growth accelerated and losses narrowed. The company’s operating revenue rose 21% year-on-year, while its net loss declined 16% to Rs 281.8 crore during the fiscal year ended March 2026.
Rebel Foods’ revenue from operations grew to Rs 1,951.6 crore in FY26 from Rs 1,617.4 crore in FY25, as per its consolidated financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Rebel Foods operates cloud kitchen brands such as Faasos, Behrouz Biryani, The Good Bowl, LunchBox, Oven Story Pizza and The Biryani Life. The company earns primarily from the sale of food products through its own brands, while commission and franchise income account for a small part of the business.
Revenue from the sale of goods rose 21% to Rs 1,891.8 crore in FY26 and contributed nearly 97% of its operating revenue. Franchise income increased 10% to Rs 15.6 crore, while commission income fell 7% to Rs 17.1 crore. Other operating income, including delivery services stood at Rs 27 crore during the year.
India remained Rebel Foods’ largest market, contributing 85.5% of its operating revenue in FY26. Revenue from India rose 18% to Rs 1,667.7 crore, while revenue from the rest of the world grew 39% to Rs 283.8 crore.
The company earned Rs 43.3 crore from non-operating activities, including interest income and gains on financial assets. This took its total income to Rs 1,994.9 crore in FY26.
On the cost side, the cost of materials remained its largest expense and rose 16% to Rs 784.4 crore. It accounted for nearly 35% of the company’s total expenditure.

Advertising expenditure rose 26% to Rs 193.9 crore, while depreciation and amortisation costs stood at Rs 153.5 crore. Other expenses, including outsourced delivery, legal and professional fees, and power and fuel costs added another Rs 404.2 crore.
Rebel Foods’ overall expenditure increased 14% to Rs 2,265.9 crore in FY26 from Rs 1,986.6 crore in the previous fiscal year. Since revenue grew faster than expenses, the company reduced its loss by 16% to Rs 281.8 crore from Rs 336.6 crore in FY25.
Its EBITDA loss also narrowed to Rs 105.7 crore in FY26, while the EBITDA margin improved to negative 5.4%. On a unit level, Rebel Foods spent Rs 1.16 to earn one rupee of operating revenue, compared with Rs 1.23 in FY25.
The company’s cash and bank balance doubled to Rs 112 crore at the end of FY26. Its current assets stood at Rs 632 crore during the fiscal year.
Rebel Foods has raised nearly $803 million of funding till date, having Peak XV Partners, Coatue, QIA and Lightbox as its lead investors.
Earlier this year, the Peak XV-backed firm shut down QuickiES, its 15-minute food delivery app, within a year of launch due to high cash burn.
