```
Marine Weather Statement — Tinian Coastal Waters; Saipan Coastal Waters
Severity: Minor. Certainty: Observed.
Typhoon In-fa is expected to pass through the far northern CNMI
somewhere between just north of Saipan to as far north as Maug
island sometime on Friday. Winds and seas will sharply increase
late Thursday ahead of the approaching typhoon, quickly exceeding
hazardous levels to small craft by early Friday morning, with seas
peaking at 12 to 16 feet. Seas up to 20 feet remain possible if
In-fa takes a southern track. Mariners are urged to take
precautions and remain weather aware over the coming days.
