Consumer appliances maker Atomberg Technologies has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its proposed initial public offering (IPO).
The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to Rs 450 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 7.65 crore shares by existing shareholders. The company is yet to announce the price band and timeline for the issue.
Atomberg plans to use Rs 90 crore from the fresh issue proceeds to repay or prepay its borrowings. It will allocate Rs 150 crore towards brand awareness and performance marketing activities, while another Rs 100 crore will be used for research and development (R&D). The remaining amount will go towards general corporate purposes.
Founded in 2012 by Manoj Meena, who was joined by Sibabrata Das as co-founder in 2013, Atomberg initially focused on energy-efficient ceiling fans. It has since expanded its portfolio to include mixer grinders, water purifiers, cold-pressed juicers and other consumer appliances.
Apart from its consumer appliance business, the company also manufactures and supplies proprietary motors, controllers and other components to enterprise customers such as Voltas, Godrej and Blue Star through its subsidiary, Atomberg Innovations.
On the financial front, Atomberg's revenue from operations increased 34.8% to Rs 1,293.77 crore in FY26 from Rs 959.51 crore in FY25. However, its adjusted EBITDA declined to Rs 37.12 crore during the fiscal year from Rs 51.35 crore in FY25. The company reported a loss of Rs 148.88 crore in FY26, narrowing from Rs 199.08 crore in FY24.
Atomberg has also seen partial exits by existing investors ahead of its proposed listing. A91 Partners, which has backed the company since 2019, has sold shares worth around Rs 445 crore while retaining a 21% stake, according to the company's IPO disclosures.
ICICI Securities, Avendus Capital and IIFL Capital Services are the book-running lead managers to the issue.
