## extract

Flood Watch — Northern Elko County; Southeastern Elko County; Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range; White Pine County; Southern Lander County and Southern Eureka County; Southwest Elko County; South Central Elko County; Northwestern Nye County; Northeastern Nye County
Severity: Severe. Certainty: Possible.
* WHAT...Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall
continue to be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeast, and south central Nevada,
including the following areas, in eastern Nevada, White Pine. In
northeast Nevada, the Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range in
Elko, South Central Elko and Southeastern Elko. In south central
Nevada, Northeastern Nye and Northwestern Nye.

* WHEN...Through 5 am PDT.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Deep moisture from decaying Hurricane Rachel continues to move
northward, impacting portions of east-central and eastern Nevada
through roughly Monday. This significant moisture will interact
with upper level low pressure to bring widespread showers with
isolated thunderstorms to the watch area. Moderate to locally
heavy rain will cause excessive runoff and may result in rock,
mud, and debris flows in and near former fire burned areas, steep
terrain, and poorly drained urban areas.
