Deep-tech defence and robotics startup Paar Autonomy has raised Rs 10 crore in a funding round led by AdvantEdge Founders.
The Bengaluru-based startup had previously raised Rs 3.5 crore in a pre-seed round led by Venture Catalysts to set up its first manufacturing line and deliver pilot units.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up production of AI-powered camera systems and develop technology that enables drones to navigate without GPS, Paar Autonomy said in a press release.
Founded in June 2024 by Vignesh Sivaram Jayaraman, Paar Autonomy builds camera systems and AI software for drones and other unmanned defence platforms. Its products focus on the perception layer for unmanned aerial, ground and maritime vehicles, including drones, rovers and boats.
The company’s capabilities include edge-based AI, GPS and GNSS-independent visual-inertial navigation, and gyro-stabilised, multi-sensor gimbal camera payloads. These technologies are designed to support operations in GPS-denied and communication-contested environments.
Paar Autonomy also uses AI models to enable real-time environmental interpretation, situational awareness and target tracking for autonomous operations.
Its product portfolio includes the Sentinel series, comprising Sentinel 1, Sentinel 2, Sentinel Nano, Sentinel Nano Dark and Sentinel Nano Dual.
The company primarily caters to defence applications such as border surveillance and tactical tracking. It also serves civilian use cases, including industrial inspection, infrastructure monitoring and disaster response.
In the defence and robotics segment, Aeron Systems raised $4.7 million in a pre-Series B round in September 2026 to expand its navigation, sensing and monitoring technologies for defence and aerospace applications.
In July 2026, Yaanendriya raised Rs 15 crore from Piper Serica to develop indigenous navigation controllers and sensors for robotics and aerospace. General Autonomy also raised $3.8 million from Elevation Capital and India Quotient in 2026 to advance its robotics and autonomous systems.
Earlier, Raphe mPhibr raised $100 million in a funding round led by General Catalyst in June 2025, while Unmannd secured $2 million from Speciale Invest and Accel in September 2025 to commercialise autonomous aerial logistics and counter-drone systems.
