Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Observed.
High temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s for locations
below 2500 elevation on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
Meanwhile, dewpoints in the upper 60s to lower 70s will result in
heat indices peaking as high as 100 to 105 for several locations,
especially deeper valley locations and areas near Lake Cumberland.

Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. If possible, limit
strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Those with
outdoor activities during the afternoon to early evening should
drink plenty of fluids and take frequent breaks. Stay in an air-
conditioned room as much as possible, limit time in direct
sunlight, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
