## extract

Flood Watch — South Central Mountains
Severity: Severe. Certainty: Possible.
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.

* WHEN...Through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening, with
activity redeveloping again in the afternoon Saturday and
persisting into Saturday evening. Recent wildfire burn scars in
Lincoln County remain vulnerable to abrupt runoff and flash
flooding. While individual showers and thunderstorms will
typically produce rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inch, multiple
rounds of storms will increase the risk of flash flooding.
