FCC Commissioner Olivia Trusty will lead the rollout and implementation of the Cyber Trust Mark Program, used to identify connected products that meet the program's security requirements. #pressrelease
October 28, 2026
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr today announced that Commissioner Olivia Trusty will lead the Commission's rollout and implementation of the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark program. Commissioner Trusty will work closely with the FCC's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and the program's administrators as the voluntary cybersecurity labeling program moves toward use by manufacturers and consumers.
The U.S. Cyber Trust Mark is designed to help consumers identify eligible connected products that meet the program's cybersecurity requirements. As the remaining work proceeds, Commissioner Trusty will help coordinate efforts to put the program into practice, engage with stakeholders, and make the label useful and understandable for Americans shopping for connected devices.
The Commission will provide further updates as the program's implementation proceeds. More information about the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark is available at fcc.gov/CyberTrustMark.
