Anmol Jain, MD of Lumax Auto Technologies said that the company is expanding its product portfolio and mechatronics capabilities to benefit from rising electronic content in vehicles and changing automotive technology trends.
Lumax Auto Technologies expects the value of components supplied per vehicle to increase by 10-15% by 2028-29 (FY29), as automakers add more features, localise production and adopt green-fuel technologies. Managing Director Anmol Jain said the company currently supplies components worth ₹70,000-75,000 per passenger car and ₹20,000-22,000 per two-wheeler.
The company expects content per vehicle to rise further by 2030-31 (FY31)- 2031-32 (FY32), supported by premiumisation and an expanding product portfolio. Lumax Auto is also investing in its mechatronics business, which includes electrical and electronic components, body control modules, switches and sensors, to benefit from the growing electronic content in vehicles.
