President Trump on Saturday ripped U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro for moving to drop the Justice Department’s vandalism case against former Olympian David Hearn, saying, “I disagree 100%”
“I don’t know what she was thinking?” he wrote on Truth Social. “To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other elements of the surrounding area.”
Trump also escalated his criticism of Senate Republicans over the stalled confirmation of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. On Saturday, the president called out Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) for holding up the vote and threatened to renew his push for the $1.776 billion “anti-weaponization” fund — which both senators oppose.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military is weighing renewed strikes against Iran as early as this weekend. Israel, according to reports, is in on the plan to launch “one of the harshest bombing campaigns to date.” The nation is also facing pressure over the recent U.S.-Hamas disarmament deal, though questions remain.
On the campaign front, Republicans are grappling with fallout from abuse allegations against Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio). Democrats, on the other hand, are feeling bullish about their chances of winning the House and Senate majorities in November.
