## extract

Winter Weather Advisory — Upper Koyukuk Valley
Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Likely.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 9
inches and a glaze of ice. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.

* WHERE...Upper Koyukuk Valley.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Saturday to 10 PM AKDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow will come in two waves. Snow is more
likely Saturday morning into Sunday morning with 3 to 6 inches
expected. There will be a break with lighter snow Sunday afternoon
and night. On Monday, snow is likely in the morning with 1 to 3
inches expected but rain becomes more likely in the afternoon as
warmer temperatures intrude and this will limit snowfall totals.
Any rain will act as freezing rain and accrete on surfaces below
freezing. This could make for slick conditions early next week.
