On-demand industrial workforce platform Factrika has raised Rs 8.9 crore in a seed funding round led by Info Edge.
The proceeds will be used to strengthen its team, enhance its technology and expand into more industrial clusters across India, Factrika said in a press release.
Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Puri and Gaurav Asthana, Factrika is building a platform that connects manufacturers with skilled and verified factory workers. The platform claims to deploy workers within two hours and maintain a show-up rate of over 90%. Its clients include Lenskart, Asahi India Glass and Jubilant Foods.
Factrika said Indian factories face a daily worker shortage of 20% to 25%, partly due to fragmented contractor-led staffing models. The startup matches manufacturers with workers based on skills and availability. Workers can accept shifts digitally, while Factrika manages attendance and payments and maintains a digital work record.
The Delhi-based startup claims to have more than 10,000 registered workers across over 20 skill categories. It also said deployment hours are growing 50% to 70% month on month. Its clients include Lenskart, Munjal Kiriu, Asahi India Glass, Jubilant Foods and Epack Durables. Factrika claims workers can increase their earnings by 20% to 30% through skill progression.
The startup initially operates across Bhiwadi, Manesar, Bawal, Noida and Bahadurgarh, as it targets what it estimates to be a $23 Bn manufacturing workforce opportunity in India.
The industrial workforce segment has seen the emergence of platforms using mobile-based hiring, worker verification, digital matching and workforce management tools to connect enterprises with frontline workers.
WorkIndia raised Rs 97 crore in a Series B round led by Aavishkaar Capital in December last year, with participation from BEENEXT. The company said the funding would be used to strengthen its technology, improve job matching and expand into high-demand regions.
Meanwhile, Nia.one raised $2.4 million in seed funding from Elevar Equity in November last year to build a platform for gig and blue-collar workers, including its planned Niadel hubs along major employment corridors.
Other platforms such as Apna are also operating in the digital blue and grey-collar hiring segment.
