...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES THROUGH THURSDAY
NIGHT...

reaching Hawaii this afternoon. The swell builds tonight into
Thursday, with surf increasing to advisory level along south-
facing shores sometime on Thursday. Thursday night into Friday,
the swell may peak near warning level. Long-period south swell
energy will keep surf elevated beyond Friday, which may require
the advisory to be extended through the weekend.

* WHAT...Surf 8 to 12 ft.

* WHERE...South facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Thursday to 6 AM HST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
will make swimming dangerous.
