The brokerage expects revenue to grow 1.7% quarter-on-quarter in constant-currency terms and 1.5% in US dollar terms, including a 0.5% contribution from acquisitions and a 0.5% benefit from the absence of a provision made in the previous quarter. EBIT margin is likely to expand by 30 basis points sequentially. We expect Infosys to lower its FY27 revenue growth guidance to 1.0–2.5% year-on-year in constant-currency terms, from the earlier range of 1.5–3%, while retaining its margin guidance. Updates on the growth outlook for the third and fourth quarters will be key to watch.
- Profit at Rs 412 crore vs Rs 287 crore, up 43.6%
- Revenue at Rs 540 crore vs Rs 377 crore, up 43.2%
- EBITDA margin at 14.2% vs 12.9%
Infosys is expected to report quarter-on-quarter constant-currency revenue growth of around 1.8%, including organic growth of approximately 1.1%, supported by contributions from the Optimum and Stratus acquisitions. Growth is likely to remain weighted towards the first half of the financial year, in line with the trend observed in previous years.
The brokerage forecasts organic constant-currency revenue growth of 1.1%, with around 50 basis points of growth coming from the reversal of a headwind experienced in the previous quarter. Underlying organic growth is expected to remain modest amid AI-led deflationary pressures and weak demand. The Optimum Healthcare acquisition is likely to contribute approximately 50 basis points through full-quarter consolidation. Margins are expected to remain stable.
- Expect Infosys to report 1.2% cc QoQ growth, -20bps cross-currency impact translates to a growth of 1% in USD terms.
- This includes ~0.5% contribution from Optimum acquisition and reversal in base of 50bps due to client termination.
- Deal wins expected to be healthy – in line with usual trends. Run-rate for bookings expected to be c. USD 2.5–3bn.
- Expect margins to increase by 30bps sequentially.
- Tailwinds– Project Maximus, higher costs in base due to client termination. Headwind – investments in business.
Sterlite Technologies (STL) on Friday reported a 12,817% year-on-year surge in net profit to Rs 517 crore for the September quarter, compared with Rs 4 crore in the corresponding period last year. The sharp increase was driven by strong demand for optical connectivity products, improved margins and a one-time gain from a tariff refund.
The brokerage expects a revision of the CC revenue growth band to 1.5-2.5% yoy, via a 50bps cut at the upper end, taking the mid-point 25bps lower to 2.0%
(ex Versent acquisition, pending closure), with EBITM guidance retained at 20-22%.
Infosys’ revenue growth has consistently been underwhelming, but on a like-for-like basis, the company continues to perform in line with its larger peers, with no clear evidence of structural market share losses. The constructive outlook is supported by two key factors: a strong AI capacity build-out that positions Infosys to capture a greater share of enterprise AI-led transformation spending as budgets expand, and an attractive valuation that already factors in subdued near-term growth.
Its vertical mix is also expected to support growth, with management projecting EURS and Financial Services to lead the way through FY27. The appointment of an internal candidate as CEO designate further signals leadership continuity and stability. The BNP maintains an Outperform rating on Infosys, although it now prefers TECHM within the sector.
The brokerage expects +1.4% CC revenue growth q-q including organic contribution of c0.5%, revenue reversal benefit of c0.5% from the previous quarter and inorganic contribution of c0.4%. Vertical-wise, we expect healthy growth driven by BFSI and EURS verticals, partly offset by weakness in Communication, Automotive and Retail verticals, impacted by lower volumes.
The brokerage expects EBIT margin to expand by c19bp q-q as we expect tailwinds from operational efficiencies and favourable cross-currency benefits will be partly offset by headwinds from investments in AI.
- Net Profit falls 62% YoY to Rs 154 crore
- Revenue at Rs 1,935 cr vs Rs 740 cr YoY

Despite modest revenue growth, Infosys is expected to post an improvement in operating profitability, supported by cost efficiencies and the absence of certain expenses recorded in the previous quarter. Emkay Global Financial Services estimates that the company’s earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margin will expand by 50 basis points sequentially.
Brokerages expect Infosys to report sequential constant-currency revenue growth of 1.1% to 1.3% in the September quarter, supported in part by acquisitions and the reversal of a revenue headwind that weighed on the previous quarter.
The key focus of Infosys’ Friday earnings announcement will be whether the company further trims its FY27 revenue growth outlook. In its June-quarter results, the IT services major had lowered the upper end of its constant-currency revenue growth guidance to 3% from 3.5%, while retaining the lower end at 1.5%.
Infosys is projected to post an 11% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue and an 8% rise in net profit for the September quarter, based on the average estimates of seven brokerages. However, analysts anticipate that the country’s second-largest IT services provider may cut its full-year revenue growth guidance amid subdued discretionary spending, AI-driven pricing pressures and delays in client decision-making.
