## extract

Coastal Flood Advisory — Ventura County Beaches
Severity: Minor. Certainty: Likely.
* WHAT...Minor to moderate coastal flooding is expected,
especially for vulnerable south-facing beaches like Point Mugu
and Port Hueneme. High surf of 4 to 7 feet is also expected with
strong rip currents.

* WHERE...Ventura County Beaches.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM PDT Tuesday.
For the High Surf Advisory, from 6 AM to 10 PM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Sea-water flooding of beach and harbor roads, parking
lots, and walkways is likely, especially around the time of high
tide. Very isolated damage is possible. Significant beach
erosion is expected. There is an increased risk for ocean
drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea.
Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches
and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides of 7.0 to 7.5 feet will be
common each morning.
