## extract

Heat Advisory — Culebra; Vieques; St.Thomas...St. John.. and Adjacent Islands; St Croix
Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Likely.
* WHAT...This level of heat affects most individuals sensitive to
heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate
hydration.

* WHERE...In Puerto Rico, Culebra and Vieques. In the U.S. Virgin
Islands, St Croix and St. Thomas, St. John, and Adjacent Islands.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 5 PM AST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...High temperatures or elevated heat indices can worsen
symptoms in people with chronic conditions. They can also increase
the risk of heat-related illness among individuals sensitive to
heat with inadequate cooling or hydration. These risks are highest
across coastal areas, lowlands, interior valleys, and urban zones.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although passing showers, t-storms and clouds
can provide some relief, enough sunshine and moisture is expected
for heat indices to reach dangerous levels.
