## extract

Wind Advisory — Anchorage
Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Likely.
* WHAT...South to southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 40
to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Anchorage Bowl.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few
power outages may result. Trees are still mostly green and fully
leafed, causing them to be more vulnerable to damage from the
strong winds.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southeast winds have been limited mostly to
south and west Anchorage today, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph reported
at Ted Stevens and Lake Hood Airports. However, winds are still
forecast to turn out of the south and spread into the rest of the

through late tomorrow morning before slowly diminishing through
tomorrow afternoon.
