What happens when you bring together over 40 D2C founders, 10 investors, cocktails and dinner, and take away the usual panels and presentations?
You get conversations that are far more real.
Entrackr hosted The Spur, D2C Mixer, presented by Entrackr and PhonePe Gateway, in Gurugram on September 25, bringing together founders, investors and leaders from the D2C ecosystem for an informal evening of conversations, connections and, of course, a lot of fun.
There were no panels, no presentations and no fixed agenda. The idea was simple: step away from work for a few hours and connect with people who are building in the same ecosystem.
And that is exactly what happened.
Founders spoke openly about what they are building, the challenges they are facing, what is working, what is not and the realities of building a consumer brand. Investors also joined these conversations, making the evening a space for candid discussions rather than the usual pitch-and-network format.
From business challenges and industry trends to founder journeys, the conversations moved freely through the evening. There was plenty of networking, new introductions, laughter and some brutally honest discussions that may not always happen in a formal setting.
For Entrackr, however, the evening was about something bigger than just one mixer.
The D2C ecosystem is growing rapidly, and there is a growing need for founders to have a space where they can connect, share experiences, learn from each other and simply be around people who understand the journey.
The Spur is our attempt to build that space.
This was a great start, but this is only the beginning. We plan to bring the community together through more such intimate gatherings across the D2C ecosystem.
More founders. More conversations. More connections. And hopefully, a strong D2C family along the way.
