## extract

Hydrologic Outlook — Tutuila and Aunuu; Manua; Swains Island; Rose Atoll
Severity: Unknown. Certainty: Possible.
ESFPPG

An active trough to the north is projected to drift southward and
move over the territory by Thursday night. Widespread showers may
be heavy and persistent at times with the possibility of thunderstorms.
Landslides will also be possible along steep mountainous terrain.
Impacts could begin as early as Thursday and are expected to
persist through the weekend. While there is still uncertainty in
the exact magnitude and duration of rainfall, plan now for wet
conditions that could persist through at least Sunday.
