## extract

Hydrologic Outlook — Glacier Bay; City and Borough of Juneau
Severity: Unknown. Certainty: Possible.
ESFAJK

A strong storm system is expected to move over the northern Alaska
Panhandle beginning Monday night and continuing through Tuesday.
Juneau and Gustavus are expected to see periods of moderate to heavy
rain for a majority of the day on Tuesday, resulting in significant
and rapid rises on small creeks and streams. Rain totals for this
event are around 2-4 inches over a 36 hour period, though expected
totals will likely change as the event moves closer. At this time,
expect to see similar impacts to the previous storm system we saw on
Friday, where Salmon River, Jordan Creek, and Montana Creek reached
either near or into minor flood stage. Additionally, ponding of water
on roads and areas of poor drainage is possible.

Stay tuned to weather.gov/juneau as we continue to assess the
situation and make updates to the forecast.
