Swiggy's quick commerce arm Instamart has appointed former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha as its Chief Executive Officer, effective August 3.
Sinha succeeds Amitesh Jha, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Jha joined Instamart as CEO in August 2024 after leaving Flipkart.
The appointment was announced on Tuesday by Swiggy, which said Jha had tendered his resignation on July 28 and would cease to be part of the company's senior management personnel from August 3.
"Nandita is one of India's most accomplished consumer internet leaders, and I'm enthusiastic about the vision, customer obsession and operational rigor she brings to the team we've built at Instamart," said Sriharsha Majety, Managing Director and Group CEO of Swiggy.
Majety also credited Jha for leading Instamart through a key phase of expansion, highlighting initiatives such as the launch of Noice and improvements in the platform's contribution margins.
Sinha joins Instamart after serving as CEO of Myntra, where she led the fashion ecommerce platform through a period of market share gains and EBITDA profitability. She brings more than two decades of experience across consumer internet, ecommerce and FMCG, having previously held leadership roles at Flipkart, Britannia and Hindustan Unilever.
She will oversee Instamart's next phase of growth, with a focus on expanding its assortment strategy, improving profitability, strengthening customer experience and driving operational excellence.
This is the third senior-level exit at Instamart in recent months, following the departures of chief operating officer (COO) Ankit Jain and chief business officer (CBO) Hari Kumar. On Tuesday, Jain joined listed beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa to lead its quick commerce vertical, Nykaa Now.
