The CEM business recorded year-on-year growth of approximately 50.03%, while the CRAMS vertical expanded by around 23.91%. Together, these two segments accounted for 65.97% of the company's total revenue during the quarter.
Aether Industries Ltd. reported a healthy set of results for the September quarter of FY27 on Friday, October 30, with revenue and profitability registering year-on-year growth.
The company's net profit rose 26% to ₹68 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹54 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 24% to ₹347.2 crore from ₹280 crore a year ago.
EBITDA grew 25.6% year-on-year to ₹110.4 crore, compared with ₹88 crore in the year-ago period. The EBITDA margin remained broadly stable at 31.8%, against 31.4% in the September quarter of the previous financial year.
In its statement, Aether Industries said growth during the quarter was supported by healthy performance in its Contract Exclusive Manufacturing (CEM) and Contract Research and Manufacturing Services (CRAMS) businesses, despite a challenging and volatile macroeconomic environment.
The CEM business recorded year-on-year growth of approximately 50.03%, while the CRAMS vertical expanded by around 23.91%. Together, these two segments accounted for 65.97% of the company's total revenue during the quarter. Aether said it remains on track to achieve its previously outlined target of increasing their combined contribution to 70% of revenue.
Large Scale Manufacturing (LSM) accounted for 33.35% of sales, with growth remaining modest. The company said this was partly due to the strategic redeployment of certain production lines from LSM to the higher-growth CEM business, a shift it had flagged in the previous quarter.
Aether said the portfolio realignment reflects its focus on expanding higher-value business segments and strengthening its long-term competitiveness.
Aether Industries shares were trading 1.3% lower at ₹1,560.50 on Friday, despite the improvement in quarterly earnings. The stock has gained around 74% so far in 2026.
