## extract

Flood Watch — Northern Worcester; Central Middlesex County; Western Essex; Eastern Essex; Southern Worcester; Western Norfolk; Southeast Middlesex; Suffolk; Eastern Norfolk; Northern Bristol; Western Plymouth; Eastern Plymouth; Southern Bristol; Southern Plymouth; Barnstable; Dukes; Nantucket; Northwest Middlesex County; Northwest Providence; Southeast Providence; Western Kent; Eastern Kent; Bristol; Washington; Newport; Block Island
Severity: Severe. Certainty: Possible.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Central and eastern Massachusetts as well as all of Rhode
Island.

* WHEN...Through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Periods of rain will continue across the region right through
Monday. Storm total rainfall amount of 2-4" are expected, but
localized 5-7" amounts are possible. If these higher amounts are
realized...the potential for both urban and small river/stream
flooding would increase. This is particularly true if these
localized higher amounts occur over a vulnerable urban center.
