Palantir Hires Former UK Labour Veteran With NHS Deal in Limbo
Palantir Technologies Inc. has hired Tom Watson, a former Labour deputy leader, as a new executive in the UK, where it faces a barrage of criticism threatening a major contract.
The veteran politician, who left the House of Commons in 2019, will serve as Palantir’s UK senior vice president, the software developer and major military vendor said on Friday. In that role, the company said he will lead efforts to make sure public contracts “support British jobs” across the entire country, a key priority of Prime Minister Andy Burnham. Watson has been an adviser to Palantir since 2024.
