## Public surfaces

The Daily Brief, signals, sources, Company Universe, Track Record, and signal feeds are public and require no account. We do not maintain reader profiles or watchlists.

## Product analytics

App Health measures page views, referring domains, and named reading actions using a short-lived identifier in your browser session storage. Its tracking events omit query strings, link text, form inputs, and account identifiers. We also use PostHog and Microsoft Clarity to understand product usage and usability.

Server monitoring records route templates, response status, timing, and explicit operational events. Coarse traffic summaries distinguish verified bots, declared crawlers, recognizable automation, and unknown traffic without storing raw user agents or IP addresses in those summaries. Our public live analytics link shows aggregate analytics, not operational logs.

## Operator access

- Cloudflare Access protects the private review and publishing tools.

- That bounded operator session is not a reader account or personalization layer.

## What we don't do

- No remarketing pixels.

- No selling of subscriber data.

- No retroactive editing of signals or evidence — corrections are new signals citing prior ones.
