extract

Special Weather Statement — Shishmaref; Bering Strait Coast; Southern Seward Peninsula Coast; Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills; Yukon Delta Coast; St Lawrence Island Severity: Moderate. Certainty: Observed. We are monitoring the potential for a coastal storm around Thursday of this week. There is high uncertainty with the track of the storm as it could be anywhere from the Yukon Delta to Bering Strait. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be a storm that would come with major impacts. However, there is a chance for minor coastal impacts and high surf due to gusty west-southwest winds. We will continue to update as necessary throughout the week.
