Tradl has raised $4.1 Mn in seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners, Stellaris Venture Partners, and a few angel investors, sources told Inc42. Tradl aims to bring quantitative analysis tools to retail traders, with AI simplifying stock screening and strategy testing through natural-language queries Founded in 2025 by Shubham Bansal and Nilesh Raj, the startup offers market intelligence, technical charts, and backtesting tools Bengaluru-based AI-powered trading platform Tradl has raised $4.1 Mn (about ₹40 Cr) in a seed funding round from Nexus Venture Partners and Stellaris Venture Partners, sources told Inc42. The funding round also saw participation from a few angel investors, the sources added. The startup’s MCA filing further confirmed the fundraise. Questions sent to Tradl, Stellaris Venture Partners, and Nexus Venture Partners didn’t elicit any response till the time of publishing this story. Founded in 2025 by Shubham Bansal and Nilesh Raj, Tradl combines AI with quantitative analysis to help retail traders identify opportunities, analyse stocks, and test trading strategies. The cofounders are IIT Guwahati graduates. Bansal previously spent around five years at Goldman Sachs, while Raj worked at fintech startup Stable Money. Bringing AI To Trading Tradl’s toolkit includes an AI-powered stock screener, technical charts, and backtesting tools that allow users to test trading strategies against historical market data. It also helps traders track sector rotation and monitor corporate events that could influence stock prices. The startup lists chart pattern alerts, broader market insights, and personalised option chains among its other tools, although these are marked as available through private access on its website. According to Tradl, its AI interprets natural-language queries and translates them into instructions for its quantitative engine. The engine then processes market data using fixed rules to generate consistent results for the same query and dataset. The startup’s stated aim is to give retail traders access to the depth of analysis typically available to institutional trading desks. It lists the NSE, the BSE, and the MCX as exchange partners, and CMOTS as a data partner on its website. Tradl’s fundraise comes amid growing investment in Indian AI startups. The segment attracted $438 Mn across 35 deals in Q3 2026, up 265% YoY, making it the most-funded sector during the quarter. AI is also becoming a feature of platforms serving retail investors and traders. Investment and stock broking platform Trackk raised $3.7 Mn in a seed round led by Lightspeed, with participation from Info Edge Ventures, earlier this year. The startup offers AI-led stock discovery alongside broking, derivatives trading, and portfolio tracking tools. More recently, IPO-bound investment advisory platform StockGro raised ₹110 Cr from existing backers as part of its ongoing Series B round. StockGro combines investment research and trading insights with AI-powered research tools.
