HCLTech has launched an AI-powered vehicle software testing offering that uses NVIDIA’s simulation tools and AI models to validate software-defined vehicles. The offering targets vehicle manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers. The Verification and Validation (V&V) offering uses virtual simulation and AI agents to automate parts of the validation process, including test creation, execution, failure investigation and compliance reporting, HCLTech said. As vehicles receive more over-the-air software updates, automakers must validate increasingly complex systems across different configurations. HCLTech identified fragmented toolchains, manual testing and compliance work as challenges that can slow software releases. The offering uses NVIDIA Omniverse, Cosmos, Alpamayo, Omniverse NuRec and Isaac Sim to generate and test scenarios in virtual environments. HCLTech said this approach could reduce reliance on physical testing and expand coverage of rare and safety-critical conditions. NVIDIA's simulation technologies are also being applied to autonomous vehicle development and testing, including work discussed at NVIDIA GTC Berlin 2026. The system also uses the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit to coordinate multiple AI agents, with reasoning powered by NVIDIA Nemotron open models. HCLTech said it is designed to link requirements with test results and compliance records across the validation process. Pankaj Tagra, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Mobility at HCLTech, said frequent software updates and increasingly complex vehicle systems had made traditional validation processes difficult to scale. “Automotive software is evolving faster than traditional validation processes were designed to handle,” Tagra said. He said the offering was designed to move automakers toward continuous validation, using simulation and AI to support decisions about software releases. NVIDIA’s EMEA Industry Lead for Automotive Enterprise, Sebastian Scheurle, said simulation could help automakers test safety-critical scenarios earlier in development. “Validation now sets the pace for software-defined vehicles,” Scheurle said. On October 12, HCLTech announced a partnership with Anthropic to integrate Claude and Claude Code into its engineering workflows and selected enterprise software products. The HCLTech–Anthropic partnership uses a separate technology stack from the NVIDIA-powered automotive validation offering. HCLTech did not name automotive customers using the offering or quantify any reductions in testing time or costs.
