Space infrastructure and mission operations company Kepler Aerospace has raised $8 million in a seed funding round led by Blue Ashva Capital, with participation from Finvolve India Accelerator and other investors.
The proceeds will be used to develop and deploy next-generation space-based persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, while scaling its mission operations and avionics-as-a-service businesses, Kepler Aerospace said in a press release.
Founded in July 2018 by Navneet Singh and Kiran Sharma, Kepler Aerospace builds scalable space and ground systems for strategic, defence and commercial missions. Its capabilities span satellite avionics and subsystems, ground infrastructure, mission operations and space-based intelligence.
The Bengaluru-based startup said its technology is designed around reliability, automation, security and scalability, enabling satellite operators and mission stakeholders to deploy and manage increasingly complex space missions. The company caters to strategic, defence and commercial applications.
Kepler Aerospace aims to address the growing demand for persistent, low-latency intelligence from space. It seeks to reduce intelligence latency from months to minutes through persistent ISR systems and integrated mission infrastructure.
The company claims to have secured two IDEX prime contracts to provide swarming ISR constellations to India’s defence space ecosystem, supported by around $4 million in grants under the IDEX programme.
Through a network of more than 70 ground stations, Kepler provides satellite communication, tracking, telemetry, command and mission operations capabilities for a growing range of space missions.
The segment is gaining momentum as India’s private space ecosystem matures, with around 440 space-tech startups registered in the country as of August 2026.
In the space-tech segment, Digantara, a space surveillance and intelligence company, raised $50 million in a Series B round to expand its space-based surveillance capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure and global operations. Other companies such as OrbitAID, Dhruva Space, Pixxel, GalaxEye and InspeCity are also building capabilities across the broader infrastructure layer of India’s emerging commercial space economy.
