Some metro areas and locales include, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Espanola, Taos, Socorro, Ruidoso, Los Alamos, Grants, Gallup, and Farmington. * WHEN...Through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A near-record to record surge of moisture combined with two merging storm systems will bring a prolonged multi-day period of showers and thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy rainfall. Combined with already rain-soaked soil, there is a moderate to high risk of flash flooding. - Low-lying, poorly drained areas, urban areas and arroyo systems will be most susceptible. Rivers and streams will see rises, potentially reaching flood stage. Recent burn scars may see flash flooding, including the Ruidoso area burn scars, Frijoles, Sacaton, Hummingbird, and Whiskey burn scars. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
