ABSTRACT
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have emerged as pivotal tools in modern medicine, offering
significant therapeutic and diagnostic benefits. Despite their importance, the development of
mAb-based molecules is often hindered by inefficient and protracted processes, limiting their
application and utility. Partillion Bioscience seeks to address these challenges through its
innovative Nanovials, which promise to democratize advanced cellular assays at single-cell
resolution. The company's award-winning technology from UCLA enables efficient and cost-
effective functional screening of single cells, accelerating the discovery and characterization of
antibody candidates. In this proposal we outline two specific aims to enhance our Nanovial
based Antibody Discovery workflow to further accelerate the development of mABs. Specific
Aim 1 focuses on engineering novel Nanovial formulations to allow the usage streptavidin-
antigen complexes as detection agents thereby increasing the plexability of our assays. This
involves exploring alternative chemistries to retain the functionality and versatility of our original
biotin based Nanovial formulation while unlocking compatibility with streptavidin-antigen
complexes. Specific Aim 2 aims to develop Nanovial-based multiepitope sequencing readouts
as a proof-of-concept demonstration of the ability to provide detailed insights into antibody-
antigen interactions earlier in the antibody discovery process. This approach leverages the high-
throughput capabilities of Nanovials and the precision of sequencing technologies to offer a
more comprehensive understanding of antibody behavior. In conclusion, Partillion Bioscience's
Nanovial technology represents a significant advancement in the field of antibody discovery and
characterization. By addressing the current inefficiencies in mAb development, Partillion's
innovations have the potential to expedite the translation of potent monoclonal antibodies into
clinical and diagnostic applications. The successful implementation of these specific aims will
not only enhance the capabilities of the Nanovial platform but also contribute to the broader goal
of advancing healthcare through improved biologic therapies.document fetched 2026-07-26 08:23
