Pet food and nutrition brand Lickicious has raised Rs 19 crore in growth capital through a mix of equity and institutional debt as it looks to scale its annual revenue to Rs 100 crore. Prath Ventures led the institutional backing in the round, while the founders of Atomberg and several senior industry CXOs are also among the company’s early backers. Founded in 2024 by Shashwat Sahai and Chandan Jha, Lickicious is operated by Nuvexo Wellness Pvt Ltd and sells food and nutrition products for dogs and cats. The fresh capital will be deployed across three areas: capacity, capability and category expansion. The company is developing a 60,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution footprint to increase production capacity, improve supply reliability and strengthen control over product quality. Lickicious will also invest in research and development, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, brand and commercial functions. It plans to expand its portfolio across products, formats, species and sales channels, moving beyond its digital first model towards an omnichannel pet nutrition business. The company is targeting Rs 100 crore in annual revenue as an important milestone, while aiming to become one of India’s top three pet food companies over the next decade. “Our next phase is about building better products, stronger manufacturing and a stronger brand,” said Shashwat Sahai, cofounder of Nuvexo Wellness. Prath Ventures Managing Partner Harmanpreet Singh said India’s pet food market is becoming increasingly product and trust led. He added that Lickicious is investing in manufacturing, product development, category and channel expansion to support its next phase of growth. The company focuses on palatability, transparent nutrition and quality across its pet food and nutrition products for dogs and cats.
