Airrived has been named a Cool Vendor in Gartner’s Coolest Vendor Innovations in Agentic AI Security report, published October 2. The Dublin, California firm sells what it calls an Agentic OS, a platform for building, orchestrating, and governing autonomous AI agents across cybersecurity, IT, and business operations. The pitch is that domain experts do the building, with no AI engineering team in the loop, and that the whole stack can run inside the customer’s own perimeter, down to fully air-gapped environments. What Is in the Airrived Agentic OS Stack Airrived describes the platform as a combination of deep reasoning, an Agentic Mesh, a Context Lake, multi-agent orchestration, governance, and end-to-end Agentic Observability, with a catalog of pre-built agents and applications meant to shorten the path from pilot to production. The company’s platform page adds a no-code agent builder, an Agentic App Store, and tooling for creating domain-specific language models. Airrived draws the contrast with copilots, which assist a single user, and with developer frameworks, which require a team to engineer agents from scratch. Its product sits between the two, automating multi-step work without a build team behind it. “Today, building autonomous AI still demands specialized talent, fragmented tooling, complex integrations, and heavy governance overhead. Airrived changes that,” said Anurag Gurtu, co-founder and CEO of Airrived. “The future of enterprise AI isn’t giving every employee a copilot. It’s giving every employee the power to become an AI expert.” The company says the platform is in use across Fortune 150 enterprises, though it has not named them, and that it has been recognized in nine Gartner reports as a Tech Innovator in agentic AI. Sovereign Deployment and Governance Airrived says the platform runs in public cloud, in customer VPCs, on-premises, on private GPU clusters, or fully air-gapped, with data, models, agents, context, and operational logs staying under customer control in each case, which is the deployment range that matters most to infrastructure teams in regulated industries. Governance tooling lets non-technical staff set the policies and guardrails that bound what an agent may do, and that control is typically the first question a regulated buyer asks once an agent is allowed to take actions on the company’s behalf. A Cool Vendor listing is a research note that Gartner publishes to flag companies worth evaluating, so the category it was issued in says more than the label does. Agentic AI security covers the controls that decide what an autonomous agent can touch, and a vendor that runs the full loop on-premises or air-gapped can make a case to regulated buyers that a SaaS-only agent platform cannot. Gurtu said on LinkedIn that security was the proof point for the platform and that the company plans to take it well beyond security.
