Crib App, an AI-powered property management platform for co-living spaces, hostels, and PGs, has acquired CirclePe, a rent financing startup that enables tenants to rent without paying a security deposit while providing operators with rent payments in advance.
The acquisition integrates financing into the rental lifecycle, allowing tenants to avoid upfront security deposits while enabling operators to receive rent and deposit-related financing upfront, which could improve their working capital.
CirclePe was founded by Navan Jaiswal and Ankur Yadav. In May 2024, the company raised nearly Rs 7.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round at a valuation of around Rs 35 crore. The round was led by OTP Ventures, with participation from 1947 Rise, iSeed, IIT Delhi, Venture Catalysts, and other investors.
With the acquisition, Crib and CirclePe will operate under a single platform.
CirclePe partners with NBFCs to finance tenants' security deposits or rent commitments. The funds are disbursed upfront to property operators, while tenants repay the amount in monthly installments.
Co-founded by Sunny Garg, Shaifali Jain, and Archit Chauhan, Crib is an AI-powered property management platform for co-living spaces, hostels, and PGs in India. The platform enables operators to manage occupancy, payments, residents, and day-to-day operations through a single system. It says it works with more than 2,500 operators and has raised approximately $3.64 million across seven funding rounds to date.
CirclePe offers a rent financing solution that eliminates the need for upfront security deposits for tenants while paying operators their rent in advance.
