Logistics and e-commerce enablement platform Shiprocket has secured Rs 727.4 crore from anchor investors ahead of the opening of its initial public offering (IPO), according to a stock exchange filing on Tuesday. The company allotted 7.50 crore equity shares to multiple domestic and global anchor investors at Rs 97 apiece, the upper end of its IPO price band. At the upper price band, Shiprocket will command a valuation of around Rs 7,057 crore. The anchor round saw participation from domestic mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, foreign portfolio investors, and other institutional investors. Key participants included SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Nippon India Small Cap Fund, Kotak Pioneer Fund, Nomura Funds Ireland, Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Equity Fund, Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio, Mirae Asset, UTI Small Cap Fund and Motilal Oswal Large Cap Fund. Domestic mutual funds received 5.01 crore shares, accounting for 66.76% of the anchor allocation, through 31 schemes across 13 mutual funds. The allocation to life insurance companies and pension funds stood at 53.42 lakh shares, or 7.12% of the anchor portion. Shiprocket’s IPO will open for subscription on August 12 and close on August 14. According to its RHP, the IPO size has been reduced by 31% to Rs 1,617.48 crore from Rs 2,342.35 crore proposed earlier. The issue comprises a fresh issue of Rs 885.5 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 731.98 crore. The fresh issue proceeds will primarily fund growth initiatives, including Rs 205.8 crore for marketing and Rs 159.8 crore for technology infrastructure and capabilities. The company will also use Rs 210 crore to repay borrowings, with the remaining amount earmarked for acquisitions and general corporate purposes. The Gurugram-based company posted a 24% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs 2,024 crore in FY26, while its net loss widened 6.8% to Rs 79 crore. Earlier, Entrackr reported that several early Shiprocket investors are set to generate significant returns through the IPO, with 500 Global expected to clock nearly 77.6X returns on its OFS. However, some late-stage investors, including Lightrock Moore ventures, are expected to sell below their acquisition cost.
