Pharmacy focused quick commerce startup Plazza has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. Existing investors All In Capital and Better Capital also participated in the round. The fresh proceeds will be used to strengthen the company's technology platform, deepen its AI driven inventory and assortment intelligence, build operational capabilities, and expand its pharmacy network into new geographies. Founded in 2024 by Aman Priyadarshi, Plazza operates a pharmacy first quick commerce platform that focuses on medicine availability through AI powered inventory management and 15 to 30 minute delivery. The latest round comes around 10 months after the Bengaluru based startup raised $1.4 million in a seed funding round led by All In Capital. Better Capital, Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal, Vivekananda Hallekere, the Singhania family office, and the promoters of JK Tyre also participated in that round. According to the company, each Plazza store stocks more than 40,000 SKUs, around eight times the inventory of a typical neighbourhood pharmacy. It claims this enables prescription fill rates of over 95%, compared to the industry average of 50% to 60%. The startup said its gross merchandise value (GMV) grew nearly 27X between June 2025 and March 2026. It also claimed that repeat customers place baskets that are roughly 30% larger than those of first time users. Plazza says it is addressing a key gap in India's pharmaceutical retail market, where neighbourhood pharmacies typically stock around 5,000 medicines despite the market comprising more than 100,000 SKUs. The funding comes as competition in quick medicine delivery continues to intensify. Flipkart entered the segment through Flipkart Minutes in December 2024, while Zepto launched its pharmacy service in 2025 with 10 minute medicine delivery in select cities. Blinkit has also expanded beyond over the counter medicines by piloting prescription medicine delivery in Bengaluru. The segment has also attracted investor interest. In September 2025, Bengaluru based online pharmacy PlatinumRx raised $6 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners. Truemeds had also secured $85 million in a round led by Accel and Peak XV Partners to expand its presence in the online pharmacy market.
