Consumer electronics startup Atomberg’s early investors, founders and other shareholders have sold shares worth around Rs 683 crore through secondary transactions since 2019, according to disclosures in its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) filed ahead of its proposed IPO.
The transactions, spread across multiple years, show how Atomberg’s shareholder base has changed as the company raised more capital and brought in newer investors. Unlike a primary fundraise, where money goes into the company, these were share sales between existing and new shareholders, with the proceeds going to those who sold their shares.
A91 Emerging Fund I LLP was the biggest seller, offloading shares worth around Rs 445 crore. Another early investor, Parampara Early Stage Opportunities Fund Series I, sold shares worth about Rs 116 crore. Atomberg’s co-founders Manoj Kumar Meena and Sibabrata Das also sold part of their holdings worth around Rs 71.6 crore. Meena sold shares worth about Rs 40.2 crore, while Das sold nearly Rs 31.4 crore.
However, the Rs 71.6 crore founder sale should not be added entirely on top of the Rs 683 crore figure, as around Rs 59 crore of the promoter transactions are already included in the broader secondary-sale data disclosed in the DRHP.
A large part of the shares sold by early investors was picked up by newer institutional investors. Temasek backed entities, Jongsong Investments Pte. Ltd and V-Sciences Investments Pte. Ltd bought shares worth around Rs 187 crore and Rs 132 crore respectively. Funds linked to Inflexor also bought a significant portion of the shares sold by Parampara. Overall, the disclosed transactions involved around 14 sellers and 19 buyers.
Atomberg confirmed the figures to Entrackr.
The Rs 683 crore is not a fundraise by Atomberg. The money went to existing shareholders who sold their shares. This makes the transactions important for understanding how much liquidity early investors and founders have already taken out of the company and how ownership has shifted to newer investors over the years.
Founded by Manoj Kumar Meena and Sibabrata Das, Atomberg started with energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans and has since expanded into other home and kitchen appliances, including mixer grinders. The company has raised capital from investors including A91 Partners, Steadview Capital, Inflexor Ventures, White Whale and Temasek-linked funds as it expanded its product portfolio and distribution network.
As of the DRHP date, after selling worth Rs 445 crore of secondary shares, A91 Partners is still the largest shareholder in Atomberg with a 21.02% stake, followed by co-founder Manoj Kumar Meena with 17.73%. V-Sciences Investments and Jungle Ventures hold 11.8% and 10.03%, respectively, while co-founder Sibabrata Das owns 10.02%. Steadview Capital, Temasek-backed Jonsong Investments and Inflexor Ventures hold 7%, 6.98% and 6.08%, respectively.
On the financial front, Atomberg reported a 34.8% year-on-year growth in revenue from operations to Rs 1,293.77 crore in FY26 from Rs 959.51 crore in FY25. However, its adjusted EBITDA improved to Rs 37.12 crore in FY26 from a negative Rs 51.35 crore in FY25. The company's net loss stood at Rs 149 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company is in last leg for its initial public offering, and the long trail of secondary transactions looks at how the company’s cap table has evolved from its early funding years to its current IPO phase, with some early investors, including A91 and Parampara, reducing their holdings while newer institutional investors have built positions.
