At 601 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along a line extending from 21 nm east of Hillsborough Bay to 6 nm east of Tampa Bay to 8 nm southwest of Longboat Key, moving west at 25 knots.
