Travel-focused SaaS company RateGain reported a 102% YoY jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹94.9 Cr in the first quarter of FY27, aided by strong operating performance and the integration of recently acquired Sojern. The profit also rose 36% sequentially from ₹70 Cr in Q4 FY26. Operating revenue surged 188% YoY and 10% QoQ to ₹785 Cr. Including other income of ₹3.1 Cr, the company's total income stood at ₹788.1 Cr during the quarter. Total expenses increased 188% YoY to ₹667.5 Cr, while EBITDA climbed 289% to ₹193.4 Cr from ₹49.7 Cr in the year-ago quarter. RateGain said its Asia-Pacific business delivered its strongest-ever quarter, driven by record new property sign-ups on the Sojern platform as well as continued momentum in bookings and customer engagement. For context, RateGain acquired US-based Sojern for $250 Mn in November 2025 to deepen its presence across key international markets. The company said its adjusted EBITDA and PAT exclude deferred deal consideration related to the acquisition, an expense it expects to incur until Q3 FY29. Going forward, the company plans to accelerate the integration of Sojern, expand cross-selling opportunities across the combined customer base, strengthen its global go-to-market strategy and deepen partnerships with travel brands. Geographically, North America remained RateGain's largest market, contributing 66.2% of revenue, followed by Europe (20.5%), Asia-Pacific (10.8%) and the rest of the world (2.5%). The company also said its board approved issuing corporate guarantees of up to $65 Mn in favour of HSBC Bank, JPMorgan Bank, and Citibank for credit facilities to be availed by its UK subsidiary and Sojern. Founded in 2004, RateGain operates across three business segments — DaaS (data-as-a-service), distribution and MarTech. During the quarter, revenue from these segments grew 22.7%, 3.1% and 341.2%, respectively. Its customer base expanded to 14,158 following the Sojern acquisition. The company's top 10 customers accounted for 17.6% of quarterly revenue. Commenting on the performance, interim CFO Ankit Aggarwal said the company delivered strong cash conversion alongside profit growth, providing flexibility to continue investing in growth initiatives while maintaining financial discipline. Shares of the company ended today’s trading session 3.4% lower at ₹945.10 apiece on the BSE.
