According to the media reports, the company will be the Co-Presenting Sponsor for the broadcast of India's three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. It has also secured the Title Sponsorship for India's Test series against Sri Lanka, which will be branded as the InsuranceDekho Cup. While the company did not disclose the financial details of the partnership. This move marks a major step in its brand-building strategy through one of the country's most-watched sporting events. Founded in 2017 by Ankit Agrawal and Ish Babbar, InsuranceDekho operates an online platform that allows customers to compare and buy insurance products across health, motor, life, and other categories. The cricket sponsorship comes as the startup continues to scale its business in the competitive insurance distribution market. Over the past few years, InsuranceDekho has raised funding from investors including Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Beams Fintech Fund, BNP Paribas Cardif, and Yogesh Mahansaria Family Office. With this, InsuranceDekho joins a growing list of startups that have used cricket sponsorships to build their consumer brands, including CRED, Dream11, PhonePe, Groww, Upstox, Swiggy, Meesho, boAt, Zepto, Spinny, and Ather Energy. The list also includes several real money gaming platforms, whose presence on cricket broadcasts has declined following tighter advertising norms.
