Crude flows through the Middle East dropped sharply due to increased threats to commercial shipping, reducing average flows from 20M bbl/day to 8.5M bbl/day. Easing of sanctions on Russian energy slightly increased supply, but the volume is small compared to global demand and US distillate inventories remain low, influencing mixed moves in product prices.
