Hexaware has received the Best Firm for Forward-Deployed Engineers certification from Analytics India Magazine (AIM) under its workplace recognition programme. The certification is based on direct feedback from engineering professionals at the organisation and assesses how well companies prepare and support technical teams to deliver outcomes in live client environments.
AIM's Best Firm for Forward-Deployed Engineers programme surveys employees across dimensions including workplace culture, leadership accessibility, cross-functional collaboration, learning and development, and the character of engineering work being delivered. Results are assessed independently to gauge how well organisations back their forward-deployed engineering talent on the ground.
Hexaware's certification reflects the experience of engineers working at the intersection of enterprise client needs and emerging technology. Hexaware's forward-deployed engineers are embedded in client settings, building and shipping AI-powered solutions where the stakes are real and the pace of delivery is set by client priorities, not internal timelines.
Engineering From the Client Frontline
Hexaware's forward-deployed engineering approach places capable technical professionals directly inside client organisations. These engineers are not liaisons or coordinators; they are hands-on builders who work within the client's environment, understand its constraints, and deliver solutions that are shaped by that context from the outset.
Employees describe a working model where they have the freedom to make meaningful technical decisions, access to the right tools, and the backing of a broader team when needed. Hexaware's history of early adoption of technologies such as agentic AI means engineers enter client environments with current, relevant capabilities rather than approaches already being superseded.
“Working at Hexaware Technologies has always been rewarding. It has always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies quickly, while empowering employees to upskill and contribute to its growth,” said Ajoy Maitra, Senior Software Engineer, Hexaware Technologies.
Supporting Engineers Who Deliver at Scale
Forward-deployed engineering means Hexaware technical professionals gain experience that goes well beyond what standard delivery roles offer. Working directly with enterprise clients on AI-powered implementations exposes engineers to the full complexity of production environments, stakeholder management, and iterative problem-solving under real conditions.
Senior employees at Hexaware point to the organisation's understanding of what it takes to sustain forward-deployed excellence as a defining feature of working there. Leadership visibility and access to mentors are cited as important factors, particularly for engineers who are building their capabilities in leadership as well as in technical domains.
“At Hexaware, we are equipped with freedom, tools and the team to deliver high-impact outcomes for our clients. I am incredibly proud to be part of, and contribute to, a firm that understands how to support, celebrate, and scale forward-deployed engineering excellence,” said Yogamurugan Prabhakaran, Technical Architect, Hexaware Technologies.
Upskilling as an Organisational Commitment
One theme that consistently emerges from employee feedback is that Hexaware treats upskilling not as a programme that runs separately from daily work, but as something woven into how engineers develop on the job. Opportunities to deepen expertise in areas such as agentic AI and other emerging fields arise through active client engagements, not only through formal training pathways.
For forward-deployed engineers, this matters considerably. Their value to clients depends on the relevance of their technical knowledge, so an organisation's commitment to keeping its engineers current directly affects how effective those engineers can be in the field. At Hexaware, we treat that commitment as a competitive priority.
Certification and What It Signals for Engineering Talent
Companies across every sector compete for engineers who can operate effectively in client environments, not just within internal product teams. The skills required for forward-deployed engineering — technical depth combined with the ability to deliver under client conditions — are uncommon and tend to develop only in organisations that deliberately create the conditions for them.
Hexaware's certification as a Best Firm for Forward-Deployed Engineers by AIM signals to the engineering community that the firm has built and maintained those conditions. For engineers who want their work to have direct, visible client impact while continuing to grow technically, this recognition speaks to what working at Hexaware genuinely looks like.
The Best Firm for Forward-Deployed Engineers certification by Analytics India Magazine (AIM) is a benchmark for organisations building credible, high-performance forward-deployed engineering teams. Companies participate in the programme to gather employee-led insights and review internal practices that support long-term technical capability development.
